May 11, 2022This year’s Mt. Hood Jazz Festival features fifteen performances for three days, including performances from Chris Potter and Helen Sung Quartet. Think of it as an all-you-can-eat buffet for jazz lovers!
Starting Friday, May 6 at 3:00 PM, to Sunday, May 8 at 6:00 PM PDT, jazz lovers and enthusiasts will be thoroughly immersed in the jazz world and culture with fifteen performances from world-renowned artists. If you’re visiting Hood River during this period, it’s not an event you want to miss!
The event will happen on the grounds and gardens of Yoshida Estate on the Sandy River, Troutdale, Oregon. There are lots to be enjoyed by attendees in addition to electrifying jazz performances, including great food, the unique culture of the area, and the mesmerizing vistas of the estate.
Other than the event headliners Chris Potter and Helen Sung Quartet, nationally and locally renowned jazz artists on the lineup include Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group, Sarah Clarke, Tony Pacini Trio, and Ezra Weiss Big Band.
There will also be performances by Ryan Meagher Trio, Christopher Brown Quartet, Bridgetown Sextet, Trio Uncontrollable featuring Dan Balmer, Horsfall / Matheny Quartet, and Shanghai Woolie.
For this event, alcohol, food, and beverages in containers are prohibited; however, picnic baskets, coolers, and barbeques are allowed. Also, provisions will be made for a wide range of food and beverages, including beer and wine, for purchase at the jazz festival.
