The Gorge Ride is an annual event that you can’t afford to miss if you’re in Hood River. This year’s event is coming up on the 18th of June at the George Discovery Center, 5000 Discovery ride, Dalles, Oregon!
The 38-mile ride will lead you to breathtaking vistas as you cycle down the Columbia River Gorge. You will be pedaling down a terrain that looks deceptively tough but isn’t quite so. Brave this, and you will be rewarded with a view that is best seen than described and a scenery that is nothing short of picturesque!
Provisions will be made for water stops, snacks, SAG wagons, and mechanical support for participating riders. You will also be given maps with cue sheets and elevation charts to help you navigate the course.
How do you become a Gorge Ride participant? Easy! Riders aged 12 and above will get a non-refundable online and advance registration ticket for $45 per rider. Then riders between the ages of 12 and 6 will pay $15 for a ticket, and riders under six will attend the event at no cost. However, an additional $10 will be charged for day-of-event registration.
