If you are a lover of nature and are enthusiastic about finding ways to preserve and manage the forests, you’ll love this event! Besides, you’ll be helping to preserve one of the most diverse forest landscapes nestled within the Columbia Gorge!

We say this because these varied forests, with their unique yet complex ecosystem, continually face complex challenges ranging from timber wars to unprecedented risk of wildfire, etc. These, in turn, become a problem for the local Gorge community.

Be part of the in-person panel at 8:30 pm on the 13th of April 2022 at the Columbia Center for the Art, 215 Cascade Avenue, Hood River, OR 9703.

Lend your voice to a vital discussion that aims to give these forests a fighting chance with renowned personnel like Jay McLaughlin, Les Perkins, and Erin Black!

Major topics like combatting the sale of large swaths of timberlands will be discussed. These sales inherently lead to more outdoor recreation spaces that harm the Gorge community’s local economy. Topics on keeping the risks of unprecedented wildfire at bay and preserving the local landscape will also be discussed.

Although your presence will be appreciated, a live-streaming option has been set up for people who are just as eager to be a part of this panel but may not make it to the live location.

So, all you need to do is click this link at 7 pm on the 13th of April, navigate to the bottom left of the screen, click the “set reminder” button as you see it, and you’re all set to lend your voice to a good cause!
