  • Celebrate Blossom Time

The Hood River Blossom time happens between April 1st to the 30th. It is a time of celebration with the locals showcasing family-friendly farm events, craft shows, beer tasting, wine tasting, and cider tasting. You could also drive through the Hood River Country Fruit Loop. Don’t forget to stop along the way and pick up goodies like baked goods, preserves, yarn, fresh produce, wine and more.

  • Attend the Hood River Hard-Pressed Cider Fest

You can sample ciders from Hood River County and other Northwest cideries at this day-long festival set under the blossoming fruit trees of the Hood River Valley. This festival features up to 20 cideries and more with more than 40 ciders on tap. Local food vendors also make a showing and there is a kid’s area and local music.

  • Travel the Historic Columbia River Highway

You can walk or bike this trail from Mark O. Hatfield West Trailhead to Mosier. It features great views of the Gorge and 2 tunnels and is great for a family adventure. In 2016, this icon marked its 100th anniversary. What a rich history!

  • Take A Wildflower Hike

You can hike from the town of Mosier down to the Mosier Plateau. You’ll find balsamroot and other wildflowers that bloom in March all over the place. It is an experience that you will enjoy immensely if you love hiking.

  • Hunt for Waterfalls

Columbia River Gorge has the highest concentration of waterfalls in North America so you’ll find lots on your waterfall hike. Spring run-off from Mount Hood will lead to thundering waterfalls into the River Gorge that you will enjoy seeing. Just remember to check trail conditions before you head out.
